Say goodbye to limp lettuce and hello to crisp greens! Keeping your leafy vegetables fresh isn't difficult and you don't have to have a salad spinner! The most important thing to remember is to wash your greens the moment they come through the front door. Here are our simple steps...

How To Keep Your Greens Fresh (Without A Salad Spinner)

1. Gentle Wash: As soon as you bring your greens home, give them a gentle wash to remove dirt and debris. Avoid using strong water pressure that can bruise or damage delicate leaves. A quick rinse is sufficient to clean them thoroughly.

2. Remove Excess Moisture: Transfer the greens onto a dry tea towel and step outside to spin it around as fast as you can manage. Removing excess water ensures your greens won't turn soggy in the refrigerator.

3. Proper Storage: Choose an appropriate storage method to keep your greens fresh. Line the bottom of an airtight container with a clean tea towel or paper towel. The towels will help absorb any remaining moisture and maintain optimal humidity levels for your greens.

4. How To Revive Limp Greens: If your greens start to wilt, there's no need to worry. Revive them by soaking them in ice-cold water for a few minutes. This refreshing bath will help restore their crispness before use.
